Referring to your minute of the 9th August

No.53581/35 addressed to Mr. Lamont, the 50 copies of Mr.

Burney's Report on Education in Hong Kong for the Colonial

Government were posted to the Colonial Secretary on the 13th

July.

The original proof copy signed by Mr. Burney

has now been received back from Messrs. Waterlow & Sons, and

is enclosed herewith.

We note that you are ascertaining from the

Hong Kong Government whether they have any objection to the

publication of the Report.
